The day my world changed

Version two

Table Tennis

it sat in my basement
untouched
dust collected
my fate unnoticed

that thing in my childhood’s basement
previously overlooked
pierced the walls of my ignorant denial

the foriegn instrument,
rubber and wood
became a part of me, finished
moves, subconsciously calibrated
perfect

my old self,
gone, the new one
obsessed

obsessed, that place where I go
only the rhythmic moves
the endless passion
freedom from boredom forevermore

my experienced rival
lost
fate,
found

  1. Wow, I realy like your poem. It has a nice feeling to it, a sort of flow and the word choices are scene evoking. ^__^
